The band was formed in 2009 and is the result of a jam session at the Maple Leaf in New Orleans. The chemistry was there and we decided to pursue this as a side project. Reggie Scanlan and Willie Green have been doing projects together for over fifteen years and have always talked of having a fulltime band. With the break-up of the Radiators and the slowing down of the Neville Brothers, the time seemed right. Jake Eckert, guitarist with the Dirty Dozen Band, and keyboardist C.R. Gruver were also ready to make the move.
The addition of Jeff Watkins, the band leader of James Brown’s band and Joss Stone’s band, completed the lineup.
